Trump and Sen. Lindsey Graham’s love affair was short-lived. Ever since their day of golf together, Sen. Graham has been an outspoken critic of Trump.
The president’s plans for a military parade have been the talk of the town since news of the idea first surfaced. Trump reportedly came up with the idea after attending France’s annual Bastille Day parade.
CNN’s Manu Raju caught up with Sen. Graham to get his thoughts on Trump’s parade, and the Republican Senator called it “kind of cheesy and a sign of weakness.”
Graham then wrote on Twitter, “My hope is this parade will not focus on military hardware, but on military service, sacrifice, and saying ‘Thank You’ to those who protect our nation.”

Conservative MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace discussed the parade with Republican pundit Charlie Sykes. Wallace stated:
“I want to give the president the benefit of the doubt that his desire was to honor the troops, but it’s hard to do that when you watch that tape of him with Macron where he clearly seems to be motivated by having a bigger an better parade than Macron did.”
Sykes chimed in: “Oh, Nicolle, this is the Trumpiest thing ever.”
